By obtaining this certificate, it has been demonstrated that 2WAY's management system meets the strict standard requirements in the field of information security.

After going through a successful audit earlier this year, 2WAY (a company that supplies and maintains critical communications solutions for the public safety market in The Netherlands) received the official ISO27001 – BIO-BBN2 certificate from DigiTrust on 14 April. By obtaining this certificate, it has been demonstrated that 2WAY's management system meets the strict standard requirements in the field of information security.

ISO27001 is the international standard for information security, aimed at process-oriented design of security measures and relates to all elements of information security; availability, integrity and confidentiality.

The scope for which 2WAY is certified includes securing information related to 2WAY's technical management of mission-critical networks. To this end, 2WAY performs technical management support activities for its clients through its Network Operations Center (NOC).

With the BIO-BBN2 classification, 2WAY also demonstrates that, as a government partner, it demonstrably meets the set BIO requirements. The Government Information Security Baseline (BIO) is the basic standard for information security within all levels of government (central government, municipalities, provinces and water boards). The BIO-BBN2, is the Basic Security Level within which most information within the government is scaled. This is about being a parent for information. BBN2 is the minimum level at which personal data is used.

Arnoud Hensen, CISO at 2WAY: “We are very proud of achieving ISO27001 certification with additional BIO requirements. In order to gain optimal support within 2WAY, a conscious decision was made to complete the certification process independently, without the support of an external consultancy. The starting points for this were the common responsibility that must be borne at management level and the general awareness of information security within the entire organization. For our clients, the BIO-BBN2 shows that 2WAY is compliant and can meet the responsibilities and obligations set within government organizations.”
