BDBOS Increases Staffing

In order to advance the technological development of the German federal networks and to serve the increasing number of customers, the operator of the German public safety communications network is currently expanding it's staff

As a communications service provider for the federal government, the BDBOS will play a central role in shaping the digitization of government and administrative communications in the coming years. In order to equip the authority for its new tasks, a staffing requirement of 260 additional positions was determined.

In addition to its task of operating and further developing the BOS digital radio communications network, in January 2019 the BDBOS took over the operation of the federal networks - the network infrastructure for government communications. The aim of the 2030 network strategy is to further develop the federal networks into an information network for public administration, or IVÖV for short.

The increase in jobs is intended in particular to enable the BDBOS to advance the technological development of the federal networks and to serve the increasing number of customers. This also includes the further development of the video conference services that the BDBOS offers via its networks, as well as the allocation of IP address resources for public administration.
