Today, Eventide announced the introduction of its NexLog series of communications logging recorders, which include standards-based recording and logging functionality for Next Generation 9-1-1. Two new models have been announced and will be available in September of 2011: the NexLog 740 logging recorder is capable of recording up to 96 simultaneous channels, while the larger NexLog 840 logger can record up to 240 simultaneous channels. Both units are dedicated recording appliances which are fully networkable and feature full front panel control.

NexLog IP-based communications logging recorders are designed to capture, record, and archive media from a wide range of communications systems, including Next Generation 9-1-1, VoIP telephone systems, Radio over IP (RoIP) networks, digital PBX telephone systems, analog sources, and more. The resulting media recordings are available immediately for instant recall, forensic replay, incident reconstruction, burn to CD, and export.
