Teltronic Displays its Complete EN50121 Compliant Solution at InnoTrans
The Spanish company became the first radio communication provider to obtain the EN50121 certification for onboard products, infrastructure and control centre.
Teltronic, subsidiary of Hytera Communications, became the first radio communications provider for the railway transport sector to obtain the EN50121 Electromagnetic compatibility certification for its full solution. In this way, the Spanish company reinforced its leadership of the transportation market offering specialized solutions that are adapted to the most severe European quality standards and that are being displayed in InnoTrans.
Thus, Teltronic manages to comply with a wide regulation that affects to different ambits of railway equipment. In this manner, eNEBULA infrastructure and CeCoCo control centre meet the requirements of the rule EN50121, “Emission and immunity of the signalling and telecommunications apparatus” and “Emission and immunity of fixed power supply installations and apparatus”.
This standard specifies limits for both emission and immunity and provides acceptance criteria to ensure the signalling and telecommunication apparatus operate properly without interfering with any other systems installed in the railway environment nor increasing the total emissions, avoiding in this way the risk of causing electromagnetic interferences in other devices out of the railway environment.
Previously, Teltronic had achieved that its entire portfolio of onboard products, composed by its RTP-Series range, complied with the part of the EN 50121 standard applicable to electrical and electronic equipment designed to work on railway rolling stock.
Together with EN50121, Teltronic transport solution also is certified against other relevant rail regulations as EN 45545 (Fire protection on railway vehicles) or EN 50155: (Railway applications. Electronic equipment used on rolling stock).
