Selectric Signs Contract with Ministry of Interior in North Rhine-Westphalia to Supply Software Upgrades

Sepura's partner, SELECTRIC, has signed a multi-year contract with the Ministry of Interior for the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia to supply software upgrades until December 2019 for Sepura BOS digital TETRA radios.

This contract enables Fire Brigades and Rescue Services within North Rhine-Westphalia to upgrade the software of the installed base of more than 45,000 terminals to the latest BDBOS IOP certified software from Sepura. These and any new terminals added to the fleet can also be upgraded to software planned to be released in 2019 from Sepura.

Sepura terminal software upgrades include not only the latest BDBOS features but are further enhanced with a high number of new functionalities, which have been developed based on the feedback of the public safety users in Germany. Development of new terminal software features follow a concerted effort by Sepura to ensure we understand and serve our customers in Germany with the best TETRA terminals to enable effective mission critical communication.

Fire and Rescue services of North Rhine-Westphalia will continue to have the latest features for uninterrupted radio communications for the emergency services.
