Ooredoo Qatar Delivers Tetra and M2M Services for Hunting Tournament

To ensure that teams are able to stay connected 24/7, even in remote parts of the desert, Ooredoo has said it will provide Tetra radio communications to the event organisers.

TETRA operator Ooredoo Qatar announced Ooredoo has announced that it will once again be the official sponsor of the annual Al-Galayel Championship.The Al-Galayel Championship is a regional hunting tournament, which this year will take place from February 3 to March 1.

During the event, 25 teams compete in a number of contests, designed to test their traditional hunting abilities in the southern nature reserves of Qatar.

To ensure that teams are able to stay connected 24/7, even in remote parts of the desert, Ooredoo has said it will provide Tetra radio communications to the event organisers.

To make the contest more exciting, Ooredoo will also be providing next-generation M2M technology so that contestants can easily track their falcons using innovative GSM/GPS technology, according to a press statement by the company.
