Imtradex provide communications solutions for safety during state visits in Germany.

Germany is enjoying great popularity not only among tourists, but also diplomats and representatives from other states feel right at home here. So it happens that every day hundreds of state visits are taking place. Not all visits are in such a large scale, as the visit of the Pope. Nevertheless, the safety of the traveling state guests must be guaranteed at all times. "Of course, especially high-ranking representatives of other States such as a President will be accompanied by their own security staff, including the related equipment. Nevertheless, the safety responsibility remains with the host country and its security forces," says Mathias Iser, Director of Technology at the Imtradex Hör-/Sprechsysteme GmbH (www.imtradex.com).

Considered to be particularly critical, is especially public appearances of high dignitaries and officials in front of potentially larger crowds. It can arise to a confusing situation in very few seconds, which is always a threat to the "protected person". "If something serious happens in such situations during the official state visit, it may result in diplomatic discord between the host country - i.e. Germany - and the other states involved," Mathias Iser demonstrates, why the use of the latest communication technologies to protect the people have become indispensable.

Established is mainly the covert communication, so third parties don’t see all the security measures that are taken. It serves mainly the coordination among the security forces, and presupposes naturally the right equipment in form of hear and talk systems, such as headsets. Example is the OnGuard Bluetooth solution of Imtradex; it connects its unobtrusive headsets wirelessly to the mobile phone carried by the bodyguard. Thanks to a wireless send button, even the transmission of the communication can be hidden. However, the recently available OnGuard II-GSM, is also a good choice for the security industry and authorities. The solution, which is considered the "core piece of discreet communication", is with its compact dimensions of 50 mm x 39 mm x 14 mm, and only about 60 grams almost invisible, and can be stored in the interior or exterior pockets.
