C2000, the TETRA public safety network in The Netherlands still is a disaster

A large number of firefighters throughout The Netherlands experiencing problems with digital radios.

According to the daily newspaper "de Telegraaf" The C2000 digital TETRA communications systems for police, fire and ambulance services brings, despite improvements that have been made, workers in danger. Also, the fire brigades are hampered it in their work according a report in "The Press"  that was obtained after an appeal to the Open Government Act.

A large number of firefighters throughout The Netherlands experiencing problems with digital radios. The safety of aid workers is stil lin jeopardy. Sometimes the radio is working and sometimes not. According to the Dutch Ministry the problems are kown, but Motorola's, the supplier is currenty engaged in consultations on a solution to the problem.
