The two longstanding partners will share a high profile stand where they will showcase Sepura’s latest products and solutions.

Once again Sepura and Selectric team up to take centre stage at the forthcoming PMRExpo which will take place in Cologne, Germany from 22nd to the 24th November. The two longstanding partners will share a high profile stand where they will showcase Sepura’s latest products and solutions.

PMRExpo is the annual event in Germany for professional mobile radio (PMR) and trunked radio and command & control centres. The exhibition brings together over 2,000 executives, professionals and specialised personnel from BOS’ target groups (police, fire brigade, rescue and disaster relief services), public transport, municipal organisations, utilities and specialised industry. Over the years PMRExpo has evolved into a leading international trade and meeting place for visitors and exhibitors from Germany and northern Europe, providing the ideal platform for professional exchanges between end-users and suppliers.

Kasper Barfoed, Regional Director for Sepura comments: “With the network roll-out for the Police in Germany entering an advanced stage, we are pleased to see that BOS-net rollout process for the Fire Brigades and Rescue Services is beginning to gain pace. For Sepura this comes at a propitious time, having recently added our new Intrinsically-Safe hand-portable radio, the STP8x, to our already market-leading range of TETRA products”.

Hendrik Pieper, General Manager for Selectric adds: “Fire brigades are not the only organisations who can reap the benefits of deploying Sepura STP8x radios. Recently the chemical industry in Germany - number one in Europe and the fourth largest in the world - has started to show interest in Sepura’s Intrinsically-Safe product offering.  Chemical plants and parks (known as chemieparks) in Germany supply energy and water, take care of safety, security and waste disposal and usually cover very wide areas. The largest plants have their own fire brigades which are legally required to be connected with the professional fire brigades. This highlights the need for interoperability and seamless communications with public safety organisations operating on BOS and selected commercial and private groups”.

Kasper Barfoed concludes: “In the last few years we have seen PMRExpo grow from strength to strength and are convinced that this year promises to be a very exciting event.  Our successful and longstanding working relationship with Selectric has been benefiting multiple users in Germany for several years; both our organisations look forward to welcoming as many visitors as possible to our shared stand”.
