PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq:PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical TELecom solutions, announced a set of enhancements to its industry-leading SeeHawk® Touch Public Safety Testing Solution, including automatically generated printable reports.

PCTEL’s Public Safety Testing Solution replaces manual testing processes with an efficient, automated method for verifying building compliance with public safety network coverage requirements. SeeHawk’s printable reports can be submitted directly to governmental entities that need those reports to meet local requirements for building occupancy permits.

“PCTEL’s Public Safety Testing Solution has helped building owners successfully acquire occupancy permits, and it has also been used by multiple agencies to ensure that buildings have the required coverage,” said Jeff Miller, PCTEL’s Senior Vice President and GM, RF Solutions. “These latest enhancements to our tool make the testing and reporting process even more efficient and cost-effective,” added Miller.

“When leveraged for Emergency Responder Radio System (ERRS) Acceptance Certification testing, the PCTEL SeeHawk Touch application has proven to be an invaluable resource in determining if the system was installed and commissioned properly and performing as designed,” said Jason Chambers, Service Manager – SeaTac, Day Wireless Systems. “If issues or errors are detected during this testing, the PCTEL SeeHawk Touch Public Safety Solution can be a technician’s best friend in isolating the root cause. A true resource multiplier!”

The SeeHawk Touch Public Safety Testing Solution combines SeeHawk Touch scanning receiver software for Android™ tablets and the IBflex® scanning receiver to efficiently verify public safety network coverage. It is configurable to meet a variety of specific local requirements, including those based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or International Fire Code (IFC) standards.
