Erillisverkot, the state-owned operator for critical communications in Finland, has recently made an announcement regarding the transfer of technical development and maintenance responsibilities for its Turvapilvipalvelu cloud service platform to Fujitsu Finland. This outsourcing contract is estimated to be valued between EUR 10 million and EUR 20 million. The decision to procure these services from Fujitsu Finland was made after a competitive bidding process.

Erillisverkot’s Turvapilvi provides exclusive private cloud solutions specifically designed for critical communications customers. These services are targeted towards a select user base and are intended for limited and secure purposes. Unlike general cloud services available on the market, Turvapilvi operates from Erillisverkot's data centers, ensuring that all stored information remains within national borders. The security of this cloud solution has been thoroughly evaluated against the TL4 level using the Katakri criteria, making it ideal for critical communications and TETRA requirements.
