Kodiak, a leading provider of broadband push-to-talk solutions, announced today that it has completed testing of its Project 25 (P25) Console Sub-system Interface (CSSI) solution for LMR Interoperability with Zetron’s MAX Dispatch System.

The successful certification of the MAX Dispatch System builds on the previous work done to test and certify the Kodiak CSSI-based LMR interoperability solution with Zetron’s AcomNOVUS Integrated Communication System.

The CSSI provides IP-based connectivity for direct communications between the Kodiak Broadband PTT solution and Zetron’s MAX Dispatch System. The direct communications afforded by CSSI enable dispatcher-controlled patching between Broadband PTT users and any type of analog or digital LMR network connected to the MAX Dispatch radio console system. The direct communications also make dispatch and resource coordination easier as dispatchers can use both group and one-to-one calls to communicate directly with Broadband PTT users.

Interoperability between MAX Dispatch and Kodiak Broadband PTT makes it possible for private and public organizations to augment their LMR communications and connect more people, in more places, with a wider choice of devices than ever before. In addition, interoperability makes the MAX Dispatch System the hub for all push-to-talk communications, from LMR to LTE.

“Kodiak is pleased to continue its work with Zetron on the use of standardized IP interfaces for seamless communication between Broadband PTT and LMR users,” said Bruce Lawler, Chief Product Officer of Kodiak. “Providing LMR interoperability between our Broadband PTT solution and the Zetron dispatch consoles makes it possible for organizations to increase the value of push-to-talk communications by expanding users, extending coverage and reducing costs.”

“With testing completed between our MAX Dispatch and AcomNOVUS systems and the Kodiak Broadband PTT solution, organizations of all sizes and types can take advantage of LMR augmentation to increase employee collaboration and improve their efficiency,” said Charles (Lin) Lindsey, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Zetron. “Interoperability between our dispatch consoles and the Kodiak Broadband PTT solution ensures that fast, reliable, secure push-to-talk communications are available to all users, whenever or wherever needed.”
