Hytera, through Radkom Gdynia recently delivered radio communications for the Versatile Horse Racing Competition (WKKW), a competition consisting of riding, cross-country (obstacle course) and jumping over obstacles.

This year's spring edition of the WKKW was held on April 27-29 and on May 4-6. at the hippodrome in Sopot, Poland.

The specific competition consists of three different disciplines. The most demanding from the point of view of the organizers is the cross-country test, which takes place on the area of approximately 30 hectares. Horses overcome routes from about 4 to 6 kilometers. Along the way there are obstacles marked out, and with each obstacle a judge reports to the "control tower" about whether the horse has overcome the obstacle without fail or not. The organization has to ensure communication between the obstacle judges and the "control tower", as well as communication between technical teams and those responsible for the safety of players and the public .

During the entire event, 40 Hytera radios were used - including analog-digital models X1p, X1e, PD565, PD605, PD665, PD685, PD705, PD755, PD785, PD415, as well as analog HYT TC610. The organizers were therefore given the opportunity to talk in both analogue and analogue-digital (DMR Tier II with encryption). The communication equipment was provided by the Gdynia-based company Radkom in cooperation with Hytera .

According to the organizers: "Field competitions have their specificity - it's primarily a lot of people working on competition squares and obstacles located on several dozen hectares of the Hippodrome. In our work it is necessary that we all have contact with each other: judges, technical staff, stewards."
