Just like its big brother, the handheld radio supports digital mobile radio based on the DMR standard as well as classic analog mobile radio. On top of that, it can be used in DMR trunked radio systems as well as in Hytera's new mobile radio solution XPT.

Additional properties of the PD715 Ex show how well it is suitable for the use in hard environments. In accordance with degree of protection IP67, it is protected against dust and moisture and proves itself to be especially robust and reliable towards external influences in accordance with the US military standard MIL-STD-80 C/D/E/D/G.
