Asian Youth Games is a multi-sports event subordinate to OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) and is held every four years. The Opening Ceremony of the 2013  AYG was held in Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium on 16th August and the competition lasted 9 days. Over 6500 staff from public securities, fire departments etc. were there to secure the Opening ceremony of AYG using Hytera's DMR radios.

As requested by the committee, the security communications solution should be a combination of DMR and TETRA. As one of the few manufactures in the world that masters TETRA, DMR and PDT technologies, Hytera has perfectly fulfilled the task and delivered seamless communication signal over the stadium.

Hytera built a trunking network covering the whole city for Nanjing Bureau of Public Security based on 14 350MHZ DMR base stations and over 2000 DMR two-way radios were distributed to certain public security sectors. During the Games, over 1000 800MHZ TETRA portable radios were used by committee and volunteers inside the stadium so they can communicate with the outside smoothly in order to ensure the security and services of the Opening Ceremony and the following competitions.
