General Dynamics will unveil yet another powerful new feature for its R8000 Communications System Analyzer: AutoTune™ automated radio test and alignment!

AutoTune requires no external PC. Simply connect your radio to the R8000 per the provided setup diagram, choose AutoTune mode and begin your radio test. AutoTune reads key radio information such as the unit's model number and serial number, and makes the measurements and alignments needed to bring the radio within manufacturer specifications. The AutoTune option reduces the time it takes to perform a typical test and alignment from over an hour to about ten minutes.

When the test sequence is complete, you get a complete test report indicating the unit's serial number, the date and time of the test, the operator ID and every test and alignment performed, including before and after results where alignments were performed.

Among the many benefits of AutoTune are:

  •     Reduces test and alignment time by over 80%
  •     Provides consistent manufacturer specified alignments
  •     Requires minimal technical expertise - freeing your valuable technicians to work on more complex matters
  •     Results are stored in the R8000 for future reference
  •     Results can also be exported to a USB drive for detailed analysis with spreadsheet software
  •     Pass/Fail indicators flag radio defects for quick resolution

With AutoTune the R8000 - the world's only truly portable full-featured radio test set - becomes an even more powerful tool. Consider this very abbreviated list of the R8000's unrivaled features:

  • Weighs only 14 pounds
  •  Brilliant 8.4" color display viewable in any lighting conditions
