On 25 and 26 August 2018, the Federal Institute presented itself with an information stand at the Federal Government's Open Day that was organised at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for Building and Home Affairs (BMI).

At the BMI Open dooor Days BDBOS employees were delighted with the lively interest in their work.

BDBOS announced that, last weekend, numerous German citizens used the opportunity to get more information about the BOS digital radio network and the BDBOS work content. At the booth, visitors were able to use their knowledge of the BOS digital radio network in a quiz and children had great fun designing their own pin buttons and fridge magnets.

On Saturday afternoon, BDBOS President Andreas Gegenfurtner welcomed Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer at the information booth. Albrecht Broemme, President of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), and Parliamentary State Secretary Günter Krings also visited the BDBOS stand during the weekend.
