WMC offers FIGO Mobile Node 3001

WMC extends  the FIGO product range with a new type of mobile router: the Mobile Node 3001. The Mobile Node 3001 provides in the need for reliable wireless and mobile communication by use with several connections. The Mobile Node 3001 (MN 3001) of WMC provides a dual-sim for umts and it provides conncetions for WiFi and gps as welll. Also the possibility exists to connect an external modem, for example a satellite modem, tetra-modem or of connecting a ram-modem (RAM Mobile data). The moment umts-netwerk of a single Internet service provider is temporarily not available by for example jamming, congestion or cover problems, it is switched over automatically to umts-network of another isp.

The WiFi-radio can be used in several ways. Thus it is possible to use existing WiFi-networks in the surroundings, to act as a hotspot for mobile terminal equipment, or to provide an ad hoc mesh build network with other routers.

The FIGO MN 3001 is standard offered with with gps. These gps-coördinates can offered to GIS applications in order to provide to the possibility for Track & Trace solutions. The main idea behind FIGO is that connections can be started in various ways. It offers great redundancy to the network and provides the user a certain security.
